Question : I am a 44 year old female. This morning after taking my morning coffee I experienced a severe cramping grip like feeling center area in between/below breast line. The pain lasted a few minutes then subsided. What could cause such pain

Gastritis.

Have seen your details,
Very likely it was due to Gastritis and the feeling you had was Heartburn.
It's a common problem.
Try to avoid coffee or Tea empty stomach.
Have something before having it.
Another easy way is to take a Tablet of Prizolec once in morning(Gastritis responds to it very well).

Try to avoid spicy food for few days.
In case the episode repeats itself follow up.
