Brief Answer:
Please provide some additional information
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Noted your history and understood the concerns.
Please give some additional information for me to assist you better:
Was there any history of direct or indirect trauma over this area?
Is the pain continuous or intermittent like with a gap of a few hours?
What are the factors that increase the pain?
Say, like coughing, straining, deep breathing, movement of left arm...
Is the skin normal over this area or has some red rash or fluid-filled small lesions?
Does local pressure relieve or increase pain?
Any other information, please.
Your age?
Please provide the details so that I can assist further.

see attached
pain seems to subside more when im standing conpated to sitting at my office desk.
Brief Answer:
As discussed
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
As per your history and feedback this seems to be muscular pain over the ribs, a sort of costochondritis or myalgia.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Take an anti-inflammatory with painkiller properties like Ibuprofen if it suits you.
Apply local rubefacient liniments that gives warmth and relaxes muscles.
X-ray of the chest for ribs of the affected area (needs typical angle hence tell the area affected to the Radiographer).
Consult your Doctor for an actual examination so that additional information will help for a proper diagnosis and this is the mainstay of proper management.
I hope this answers your query and helps you.
Please give feedback once all the above mentioned things are done.
Take care.
