Brief Answer:
It could be bacterial overgrowth, reflux

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Belching and a burning sensation in your stomach are suggestive of excess acid that overflows to your esophagus. This is called gastroesophageal reflux disease. It can also indicate bacterial overgrowth in your small bowel. I suggest using a proton pump inhibitor for a few weeks, avoid late meals before bedtime, no spicy or smoked food or tobacco and alcohol. Sleep with your headrest elevated. If the pain is located in your chest, you should see a doctor.

Hope this helps.
