Brief Answer:
It’s due to TMJ disorder.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Ear ache while chewing or swallowing may be due to something called temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder. However we have to rule out other causes like middle ear infection and parotitis.
In TMJ disorder the pain may be due to irritation of nerves in the jaw line by abnormalities of tempero-mandibular joint.
As a first line management you can try stretching exercises and apply ice packs over the affected jaw line.

You can also try analgesics like ibuprofen or diclofenac for pain. Combination of diclofenac with muscle relaxants like baclofen provide better result when compared to plane analgesics.
In severe cases you have to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated, in resistant cases steroid injection may be required.
As of now keep yawning and gum-chewing to a minimum and avoid resting your chin on your hand for too long.

Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.
Thanks
