Question : I have bright red blood in my poop and left hip joint pain, combined with light pain in my lower left abdomen about 6 inches above my left hip. Is this something to be alarmed about?

Brief Answer:
This is alarming.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Thanks for your query.

Noted the history and understood the concerns.

Blood in stool recently with pain in left hip joint area and left lower abdomen can have a serious reason.

There can be severe colitis or a mass in the left colon.

Hence I would advise you the following:

-Needs a clinical evaluation by your Doctor, preferably by a General Surgeon.
-Needs CT scan of abdomen & Hip joint area and colonoscopy as early as possible to know the exact cause.
-Tests of stool, blood and urine.

All these can lead to a proper diagnosis at the earliest.

Awaiting to get these done and give me the feedback.

Take care.
