Hi,
Thank you for getting back with me.

I have referred pain in the back left side that goes from my kidney region down into my lower back, hips and glute area. In the front left side, it is referred upwards to just under my ribcage. Sunday night when it started, it was a sharp pain. For the past 4 days, it has been a dull pain. The pain is mostly always there, but will lessen and almost go away for 20 minutes or so, then comes back.

No other symptoms such as vomiting, problems with urine or bowel movement.

Thank you!

Brief Answer:
As detailed below.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

As per the history you have provided this may most probably a pain from obstruction of urine from pelvis of kidney to ureter.
May be colitis too.

Other causes to be ruled out by the clinical evaluation, examination by a Surgeon preferably and relevant investigations.
Ultrasonography, X-ray of abdomen, tests of blood, stool and urine help further for confirmation and plan of management, referral to the respective Specialist.

I hope this answer helps you.

Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap in communication.

Brief Answer:
As discussed

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Please check with your Pharmacy store and ask for anti-spasmodic like Dicyclomine or so and will be available if it is OTC in your state/country.

You may also try Diclofenac or Ibuprofen as a painkiller if it suits you.

Please get checked up asap for a proper diagnosis so that proper management can be started.

Hope I have answered your query.
