Question : Need help now. I'm 65 years old.In September I brought my plants inside before the freeze. Now something is biting me for last 4 months. I'm afraid it could be bird mites. I knocked a swallows nest down on my porch near my plants in the summer. Now I can feel crawling & evil biting on me all over. Others in my home have been bit or feel crawling on them.

Welcome and thanks for your query.

Your symptoms are likely to be due to an allergic reaction. Have you noticed any skin lesions like red spots or urticaria. Allergens can come into contact through the skin, may be inhaled or swallowed.

A complete blood count (CBC) may show a higher than normal percentage of eosinophils or the blood may show high IgE which would be in keeping with an allergic reaction.
