Why Am I Having Persistent Stomach Cramps Despite Taking Medication?

No nausea present, No loss of appetite No fever. Food and drink do not affect symptoms. Gas pills don't help. Sometimes seem sort of constipated, but do have bowl movements at least daily. Sometimes it is diarea sometimes not. No constipation leading up to this. Have had this aprox 6-10 times in the past spanning some 25 years, with varying intensities from severe to mild. Haven't eaten anything out of the ordinary.. I am male, age 56
Intolerance to intoxication.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for the question.
I suggest you keep a food diary and note the food before having this cramps. It most likely due to food intolerance. It may not be the food alone the ingredients may be the culprit.
The part of the gut is trying to push the food further down as it is unable to tolerate the ingredient causing cramps. Sometimes it is pushing it hard to cause diarrhea.
You can see an allergist alternatively who can do the skin testing to understand what is causing the intolerance.
Of course, bacterial or viral intoxication comes next if not intolerance. Since you do not have a fever or other body symptoms I keep it second to intolerance.
Hope this helps.
