Brief Answer:
positional vertigo probably

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Although I can't diagnose anything without examining you in person - your case sounds a lot like a case of benign positional paroxysmal vertigo (BPPV). BPPV usually presents with vertigo attacks that start a few seconds after a rapid head movement and last for seconds. Sometimes the duration and frequency of attacks may be such that the patient has to reduce normal daily activities.

The good news is that BPPV can be easily treated at the doctor's office with simple maneuvers. Unfortunately you can't do them at home as the maneuvers may be different depending on the type of BPPV that you have (provided that BPPV is the cause that is!).

If it's BPPV indeed then this is benign form of vertigo as its name suggests. Whether you're going to need a doctor or a treatment depends a lot on the severity of your symptoms. If this disorder affects your daily activities then you should visit a doctor for confirmation (or an alternative diagnosis) and appropriate treatment.

I hope I've answered your query! Let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards
