Brief Answer:
Need more details please.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Okay, first I need a few more details.
Your last menstrual period was 22nd February right ?
So that means that ideally you should be 7.3 weeks, yes.
But you had delayed cycles averaging 35 days, so with that, ovulation is also delayed.
Also, you need to tell me on what date the TVS ( transvaginal scan was done ).
Also, Please attach the scan report if possible.
Also, is this your first pregnancy ?
Have you had any bleeding / spotting ?
Was any B HCG level measured prior to 11th of April ?
Please write back with more details.
Duphaston and Susten are progesterone tablets, important for support to the pregnancy.
Vitagreat is folic acid, very essential for the growth of the baby.
Ferium Xt is iron, and should not be taken until the first 3 months of pregnancy are over, so it is surprising why that has been prescribed.
Supradyn is multivitamin, so that is important also.
Take care.

Hello Dr XXXXXXX

Thanks for replying.

Transvaginal scan was done on 14th.

I do no have the reports with me right now but can tell u what was mentioned in it.

The report said Uterus is gravid, a single intrauterine gestation sac is seen, the mean sac diameter is 6 mm, yolk sac n foetal pole not seen, cervix is closed with the lenght of 2.8 cms., both ovaries normal, no adnexal lesion seen, no free fluid in pelvis. Impression - single intrauterine gestation sac measuring 6mm corresponding to 5 weeks of gestation.

Yes this is my 1st pregnancy.

No bleeding but very lil spotting happened on 24th march, it was very lil, that too cos we were on tour to XXXXXXX then and i was sitting on the horse.

No B HCG level was done prior 11th April, that was the first test and 2nd is on April 18th.

Brief Answer:
Only the next scan will reveal exact picture.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the update.
Basically, your scan is lagging behind your actual dates by 2 weeks.
Relax, that happens sometimes, particularly with long menstrual cycles, as in your case.
This could be a case of delayed conception, and again, it might be an impending miscarriage.
You will only know with a repeat scan after a week.
Till then please take the medications as advised, apart from Ferium, that is iron, and not supposed to be taken in the first trimester.
There is no point in doing B HCG levels now, as the best pointer of successful pregnancy is an ultrasound scan that will show proper fetal development.
Meanwhile, you should take lots of rest.
Avoid any kind of stress, lifting weights, jerks, long travel, intercourse, till you know the results of the next scan.
Update me with the same .
Wishing you best of luck.
Take care.

Sure. Thank u. B HCG test has been suggested by my gynac. I work as an HR professional. I have to be seated all the while not much of running around job. Any specific sitting positions that i need to take care off? also suggest sleeping positions if any i need to follow at this stage. Shld i stop taking ferium? cos that also has been advised by my gynac.

Brief Answer:
As below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again XXXX.
Basically you need to remember the following tips -
1. Avoid sitting in any constant posture for long, keep shifting. Avoid standing for prolonged periods. Make sure you get lots of fresh air frequently
2. Drink lots of water, atleast 5 - 6 litres per day.
3. Invest in a good maternity cum feeding pillow ( mothercare has an excellent range ) - it will provide good back support.
4. Sleep in whatever position suits you best, you can prop pillows under your feet or sides or head, whatever suits you.
5. Yes, iron is contraindicated in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, you must ask your gynec why it was prescribed in the first place.
6. Eat simple, home cooked meals, even at work, carry your tiffin or have it delivered from home.
7. Avoid tea, coffee, aerated beverages. Have lots of lassi, chaas, nimbu pani, coconut water, kanji etc.
8. Meditate / do simple yoga. It will calm your mind and avoid stress.
9. Relax your eyes with rosewater if you use the computer for prolonged periods.
