Hello and welcome.

Calcium channel blockers have the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier (a barrier which prevents most medications from influencing or reaching the brain). As this group of medication can reach the brain they influence various receptors that regulate mood, and prevent their normal functioning. This results in various changed in mood, depression and even an increased risk to suicidal tendencies.

Blood pressure can be treated with other group of drugs like:
-Beta blockers (used in blood pressure and atrial fibrillation control)
-Diuretics
-Angiotentin II receptor blockers
-Sympatholytic drugs
-Combination of drugs from different groups
-Calcium channel blockers (used in blood pressure and atrial fibrillation control)
-ACE inhibitors (usually used to lower blood pressure and lower the risk of atrial fibrillation)

I hope you found this information helpful. Wishing you lots of luck and a beautiful life ahead.

Best wishes.
