Question : Female 41, weight 90 kg. Suffering from covid since 5th as symptoms started then by just nose block and fatigue but developed fever since past 4 days.
Took Azithromycin five days, Ivermectin 12 mg once for three days, now on doxycycline 100 mg with Montek LC. I'm hypothyroid taking 125mcg, insulin resistance taking glycomet 500 twice. On medication of anxiety disorder with Duzela 30 bd, etilaam pro once daily, Gabapentin NT 100 once daily and Synaptol 150 twice since one month due to some injury I'm back.
1- my fever not going down with Dolo 650. From 103 comes to 100.5. took meftal forte 500 twice and it came down but again came back with headache and bodyache. How can I deal with this?
2- I have extreme wound like pain in throat. Can't swallow anything. Feels as if there are cuts inside with a knife..saliva when touches that I literally cry. Does betadene gargles but it's not helping. Unable to sleep due to this and crying all night with pain.
My CRP level 14 and ddimer and ferrtin are wtihin range.
Please help me doctor..I can't eat, sleep and relax.

Hi,
I have gone through the detailed history you have given.
You are having persistent fever. In this case we have to see trend of inflammatory markers, CRP and Ferritin.
If they both are in increasing trend, we can add oral corticosteroid (methyl prednisone).
And we also have to do HRCT Thorax to rule out pneumonia.
If pneumonia is developing and CT severity score is above 9,Remdesivir and steroids injection are needed.
So in my opinion, you should first get done fresh CBC, CRP and ferritin.
For fever, take Meftal Forte tablet twice daily.
