Why Do I Experience Severe Diarrhea And A Feeling Of Burning In My Chest All The Way To My Back At Night?

Brief Answer:
due to irritation of the stomach lining
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The burning sensation would be due to irritation of the stomach lining though it is most commonly felt up the chest.
Gastritis (irritation of the lining of the stomach), can accompany diarrhea especially since you said that you also felt nausea as well.
The tums and Pepto Bismol would have helped with gastritis and nausea (since it would have been partly caused by the irritated stomach). As you stated the Pepto Bismol would have also helped with diarrhea as well.
At this point, if you are improving, you can monitor for changes.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions.
