Could be arthritis
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for the query
Can you please explain where the sound comes from. Is it from hip, knee or ankle?
Usually such sounds can indicate stretching of ligaments or possibly arthritis of the joint especially is there is pain.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

                                    Brief Answer:
Maybe early arthritis
Detailed Answer:
This could be due to early arthritis changes in the knee. Avoid bending knee much. Avoid squatting, cross leg sitting. Perform knee extension exercises.
Do get an Xray of the knee to look for arthritis.
