Question: I get infrequent painful spasm in my thigh area and Its very painful to walk. They are sometimes preceded by leg and toe cramps. After an episode, the thigh area still has soreness

Muscle cramps may be due to vitamin deficiencies, metabolic disorder or nerve root compression.
Get tested for blood sugar, renal function tests, liver function test, vitamin D, thyroid profile.
Calcium with levocarnitine can be tried.
Duloxetine or pregabalin can be added too.
Examination and evaluation by a neurologist is advisable.
