Brief Answer:
Sinusitis or allergies

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

It could be due to sinusitis or allergies. When you lie down in bed, your body is no longer able to drain mucus out of your nose through your throat, because gravity isn’t working and symptoms getting worse. Chest congestion will be secondary to nasal congestion.
Start a short course of antibiotics for five to seven. Antihistamines like cetrezine or levocetrezine can provide symptomatic relief. Nasal decongestant like xylometazoline may be given. Do steam inhalation to open up nostrils.
If symptoms persist, consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.

Thanks
