Brief Answer:
May be a cyst

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The fact that the lesion varies in size implies that it maybe a cyst.

Cysts can occur at the joint spaces and the fluid in them can vary from time to time and this causes the change in size.

They can also become inflamed and this causes pain. Using anti inflammatory agents such as cataflam or ibuprofen or naproxen, if you can use these meds would help with pain relief.

Imaging of the shoulder would be needed to accurately diagnose the cyst or lesion.

If it is very bothersome, your doctor can refer you to an orthopedic surgeon who can remove it.

Depending on the size and exact location, it maybe in office procedure.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions.
