Brief Answer:
Need more details

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I can see that you have a history of COVID and that maybe causing delay in getting better from cough. I need more details about your symptoms.

How bad is the cough? How many bouts of cough do you get in a day? Does it interfere with sleep or daily activities?
Did this cough start with a viral or fever?
Do you have any history of allergies or asthma?
Do you smoke or expose to dust?
Do you get sputum with cough? If yes, what is the color?
Do you difficulty in breathing?
Do you have any other symptoms like fever, chest pain, weakness etc.
What medicines are you taking?
Have you done any tests? If yes, please upload reports

Waiting for your reply.

I start coughing sometimes after having meals especially at night. And yes sometimes it does disturb my sleep. At times it just starts. It is mostly dry cough. At night I take cough syrup or Kanthil pills. Yes, my chest pains when I cough severely. Breathing is not much of an issue except when I walk for long or carry heavy bags of groceries.

Brief Answer:
Could be COPD

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

From your description it could be something in the lungs, maybe COPD or bronchiolitis or pneumonia. I will suggest that you get evaluated for lung issues by getting a chest X-ray PA view and a chest CT scan.

Meanwhile you may take Naoq19 tablets BD for 3 days after food with warm water to combat any virus.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vaishalee
