Question : I have itching on both arm after I started taking amoxicillin 500mg from XXXXXXX 27th today is July 1st. Is there anything that I can do to help stop the itch? I am 79 years old.

Hello,

At this point you could try a low dose of Benadryl - 12.5 to 25 mg by mouth 2-3 times per day as needed.

I recommend you discuss the symptoms with your doctor within 24 hours as well for further instructions. Of course - stop the amoxicillin until you speak to your primary physician.
