Brief Answer:
Drug side effects probably

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I believe that your symptoms are most likely due to the drugs you've been taking during your hospital stay. If you've taken metronidazole for example then metallic taste is a common side effects. Ringing in the ears can be caused by various drugs including some antibiotics (like aminoglycosides).

Most drug side effects wear off soon after stopping the drug. Some side effects may persist though. The ear-ringing may be such a case. There's not much you can do. Just make sure you inform your doctor about the symptoms. In some cases substituting the current treatment with another one may help. Continuing the drugs when a side effect has occurred increases the risk for permanent damage.

I hope I've answered your query. Let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards
