Why Do I Have Pain In The Back Of My Leg Where It Bends?

Question: I have pain in the back of my leg where it bends. It feels like the bone may have popped out of place. Should I see a doctors?
Brief Answer:
should be seen, may need imaging
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Dislocation of one of the bones at the knee is not common but can occur in some persons. It would usually require injury to at least 3 of the 4 main ligaments of the knee.
If the pain in the knee is severe and the joint feels unstable then you should definitely be seen because an MRI would be necessary. An MRI would show all the ligaments and other soft tissue, bones.
If based on physical examination, the doctor does not believe that any of the ligaments are injured, then he or she may only suggest an x ray.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
