Question: I have breast cancer and recently had a lumpectomy. The sentinel node was clear, but I do have LVI, and another worrisome thing is that my margins were <1 mm on some sides (inferior, posterior and lateral plus there was DCIS .
I started radiation, and am just worried now...should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
Hello dear. Radiation is required

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through your query. First of all, there is nothing to worry. As you had lumpectomy and not complete mastectomy, radiation is warranted and that will take care of LVI and close margin as well.
The oncotype dx results don't predict a benefit from chemotherapy and hence chemo can be avoided.
Hormonal therapy anastrazole is required for 8-10 years. Your chances of relapse are very low and you must not worry at all.
Kind regards.
