                                            Question : Hi,
I am 37 years old and i am feeling pain while sleeping on any side. I mostly sleep in my right and feel pain on side ribs, hip.
And some times back from.ribs and above. When i wakeup and strecth and it starts going away. I am over weight and i work infront of computer daily.
My father had pkd amd for that i had gone for usg scan and other blood tests till 2019 but later due to covid.
Is it becz of kidney problem liver problem? Now a days pain in the upper backs stays even after wakingup.
Even if i sleep on shoulder it gives pain. When i strecth or bend back i can feel pain. Most of the pain is in sleep only.
Till 2019 usg scans are normal.
Pleasehell me on this

Being overweight is a common cause for pain on the side of sleeping. The reason for backache also is due to being overweight.
It is also important to realise that the more overweight you are, the more chance for Vitamin D deficiency.
Do get your Vitamin D level tested and if it's low, do take Vitamin D and calcium combination for 3 months and re-check. When your Vitamin D level is normal you'll have less body pains.

I am worried becz my family has pkd history.
And my sleep now a days is disturbing due to these pains....even though not unbearable it is not going away.

Just to.mention that pain is at lower back also some times.
Mostly on hip and ribs.
But for sure reduces when i wakeup and increases while sleeping. And pain is less when i sleep on flat surfaces than on sponge mattress
