Question : doctor am a lady aged 29yrs, my problem is that for the last five months i have been experiencing painful monthly periods my abdomen hurts alot i cnnot even stand upright.have gone for medication what am given is only pain killers.this is worrying me alot. coz the pains are too much.help

Hello

For pain in abdomen that is severe, atleast a whole abdominal ultrasound should be done. This will help in ruling out any surgical cause. Also relevant tests to find any infection for example a pap smear or urine complete examination should be done. This will help in providing proper management.
