Why Have I Been Having Abdominal And Back Pain For The Last 4 Days?
Question: Hello, I have been having abdominal and back pain for the last 4 days. It comes and goes. Sometimes stabbingly intense. Mostly in the upper abdomen, under rib cage. Mostly the left side, but sometimes the right. The back pain takes place mostly in the middle back, near the spine. There has been some lower back pain as well. I am female, 33 years old, started my period on Saturday, so I figured it might be related to that, but normally my cramps are helped by some OTC pain medicine, and this wasn't the case yesterday. I took two doses of extra strength tylenol, to no avail.

- Use over the counter spasmodic medication such as Buscopan 10 mg three times a day
- Use probiotics daily
- Diet is very important, avoid food that triggers the bloating such as fried foods, spicy foods, caffeine. Use fiber rich diet.
- Eat smaller meals
- Drink liquids
