Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I would like to tell tell you that common cause for racing heart can be anemia, dehydration or nutritional deficiencies but considering your age there can be another health issues like hormonal imbalance associated to menopause, underlying cardiac disease, thyroid disorder, diabetes etc which requires proper evaluation.

It’s recommended for you to get the following tests done:

1. CBC ( for anemia or any infection)

2. Vitamin B-12 ( to check Nutritional Deficiency )

3. Thyroid profile ( for endocrine culprit of Low BP )

4. ECG, Echocardiography and Holter ( to rule out any structural Heart Disease )

5. RBS and HbA1c ( to rule out diabetes )

Let me know if you are taking any medication or having any family history of medical illness.

Kindly revert back with required information and test reports so that I can guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr. Bhanu Partap
