Brief Answer:
Hello dear. Bone scan is necessary

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. So a bone scan is necessary to look for the evidence of disease spread to bones if any as the treatment will change depending upon the results. If the disease is localised to the prostate, then surgery will suffice. However, if it is locally advanced or metastatic, then radiation and hormonal treatment will come in picture. Survival will be excellent.
Thanks and regards
