                                    Brief Answer:
Need investigations
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Severe cough since 2 months, is it accompanied by inability to breath and tiredness? Is there sputum?
You may try a bronchodilator syrup like ashthalin syrup upto 2 times a day alongwth benadryl. Asthalin to be taken when experiencing difficulty to breathe.
Further testing is needed to confirm diagnosis. Tests include complete blood count, chest Xray PA view, sputum culture and examination, pulmonary function test. Pulmonary function test will be available at medical college.
Meanwhile avoid polluted air completely. Wear masks during travel. Avoid smoking.
Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

                                    Brief Answer:
ok then its mostly viral
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
My mistake to read 2 weeks as 2 months. Thanks for providing details.
2 weeks means that its probably a viral. Still I will suggest a complete blood count, chest X ray PA view. If problem persists then other tests will also be needed.
Antibiotics can make cough worse if given unnecessarily.
Mostly we can wait it out.
For controlling cough, kindly use Tusq-D cough lozenges upto 3-4 times a day. These have a nice antiseptic effect in throat and also suppress cough. It does not have sedative anti-allergics. As you don't have sputum, anti-allergics like benadryl will not be effective. Warm fluids are helpful. Saline gargles also be helpful.
