Why Must One Medically Consult A Specialist When Blood Calcium Levels Are High When Associated With Premarin Medication Intake?
Question: Do you know why premarin info. tells patient to consult with Dr. if bllod calcium is high. I started using premarin cream in the middle of March, and now I have discovered my blood calcium level is 11.3, and every time I eat a food high in vitamin D, I get excessively thirsty and urinate very frequently. The result of my 25 Hydroxy vitamin D was 19. I did not have a GP when all this started and do not have an appointment until 5/31. I discontinued taking Fosamax on /11 after only 4 once a week doses.
Brief Answer:
Hypercoogulability
Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma'am, Premarin cream is estrogen based and tends to be absorbed into your blood stream. Estrogen produces a hypercoogulable state of your blood.. The reason why you need to report a concomitant high calcium levels is that high calcium levels also produce a hypercoogulable state. In combination with estrogen there is an increased risk of thromboembolic complications.. The increased thirst is also due to hypercoogulable state. I hope I answered your question.if you don't have any other clarifications then please close the discussion..
