Brief Answer:
Keep observing, Take other safety measures

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for asking on this platform
I have gone through the query and do understand your concern. Sleeping on tummy increases the risk of breathing difficulty but you need not to get overly worried if following other safety measures.
Due to poor reflexes the risk related to prone sleeping is more common in age group of 2 to 4 months. As baby grows they develop adequate reflexes and thus risk decreases.
I won't get worried if his head position remains in safe position to breath. Still I would recommend you to keep an eye while he sleeps in prone position. Remove any soft toys, blankets or soft pillows from head area.
As he is of 6 months the risk related to prone positioning is quite less.
I hope this helps.
Thanks
