Brief Answer:
What is his latest blood sugar levels and HbA1C

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Loose motions can happen when blood sugar levels are high resulting in nerves of digestive system to dysfunction It can also happen due to side effects of medicine. What are his blood sugar levels and HbA1C. Did he start any medicine recently? Also get a stool culture and sensitivity and stool for ova and parasite done to confirm any infection. Aso do a blood typhidot test.

To avoid diarhea he can take probiotics like ActivStart Unobiotic or Gut Renew capsules. Also take one capsule of Imodium 1-2 times a day for 3 days. This is not an antibiotic but can help with restoring motions to normal. Continue electral after every motion. Drink lots of water. Avoid oily foods, sugary foods, milk and juices which act like laxative. Can take salad.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
Also get Covid test

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

It is good that typhoid is negative and also CBC is normal. Sugar levels seem mildly out of range on long term. So it seems an acute (short term) viral infection only. A high C-reactive protein could mean any inflammation or infection. However an epidemic is going on and high CRP could mean covid infection. So an RT-PCR could help rule out this possibility.

For now we can continue ORS after every motion.

Waiting for other reports as well.

Brief Answer:
Repeat RT PCR not needed

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

CRP could then be raised due to temporal arteritis. It is just a non-specific indicator of inflammation or infection.

A repeat RT PCR not needed.

Hello Doctor,
I have read through the parameter on google and found alarming. Should we need to take special medicines for reducing this parameter. CRP - (C - Reactive Protein)

Brief Answer:
He is already taking steroids

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

He is already taking steroids. Also I donot see any worrisome symptom. Steroids are taken to reduce this parameter. You can consult his physician who is managing arteritis, if injectable steroids would help.
Otherwise I am not currently worried about his health.

Brief Answer:
Reports suggests some bacterial infection and entamoeba cysts

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

The attached report suggests some bacterial infection and entameoba cysts. It is unclear regarding the type of bacteria and their sensitive antibiotics. Also not clear whether entamoeba infection is active or not. Anyways we need to start antibiotic against both

For bacteria, antibiotic like ofloxacin or cephalexin can be taken. For entamoeba, tinidazole can be taken.
E.g
Tablet Oflox TZ (strength 200 and 600 mg respectively) twice a day for 5 days or till 2 days after fever subsides.
Also check his drinking water. He may have contracted this infection from water from a well or lake. So give him cleaner water with low TDS.
Soft foods until infection clears up.
