Question : My wife blessed with a baby by normal delivery 18 days before. But from last 7 days she is getting blood in stool and getting pain while sitting in the anus and birth canel area. She never had this problem. This is for the first time experiencing such pain. Would you like to suggest to reduce the pain and get it cured.

Brief Answer:
Need gynecologist consultation

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Most probably such blood in stools is due to unhealed episiotomy/ tear in the area during delivery and constipation. She needs consultation with gynecologist to find reason. Also apply vaseline 3-4 times a day locally. Before passing stools, she may use shield ointment locally. She should drink lots of milk and ghee or butter to soften the stools. Stool softener may also be required.
