Question: Should a person remove hair/ hairs that are in a mole?
My mother always says no and that the hairs can be carefully trimmed if they are very long or makes one self conscious.

Brief Answer:
Mole should not be irritated in any way.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Generally, irritating mole in any way can stimulate its cells to multiply. If this cells multiply, there is a tiny chance that one of them will become malignant. Thats the only reason you should not remove the hairs from a mole.
But you can cut them or trim them. That is fine.
And if the mole is on the face, you may consider its removal for cosmetic reasons.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
