Thanks for contacting HCM,
There are actually no such restrictions in pregnancy to not to eat spicy food , but its just that it increases gastritis further which is a common manifestation during pregnancy, hence in order to avoid the same , it is advised to keep a check on intake of spicy foods.

No it wouldn't harm the foetus..

Hello,
No it cannot hurt your baby , but it can cause severe gastritis and even sometimes increased caused and vomiting which can then cause dehydration if excessive.So its suggested that you may take it but in a small quantity and less often.
