Question : Hello, my partner has been suffering from bad knee pain. He has had a painful knee over the years but it has got worse recently. He walks a lot and up hills regularly until his knee got worse.
My partner noticed that there is a clicking sound coming from his right knee especially on standing after being seated. He has been getting more discomfort at the back of his leg on his calf. It looks a little swollen with a little redness. He says it is more of a sore pain. He said it is not a sharp pain. It is not painful when lying down resting. The area has been sore for a few weeks now.

Brief Answer:
Probably a muscle cramp
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
I already reviewed the attached report.
The pain on his calf can be related to a muscle cramp.
I recommend using magnesium supplement.
I also recommend using a muscle relaxant such as Baclofen.
Warm compresses can also be helpful.
As per the knee pain, I suggest to do an xray of the knee for further evaluation.
Hope my answer was helpful.
