Question : Hi,
I've had spinal surgeries (2 last July) and still have lower back disc issues. For a while now I've had slight pain in outer mid level of left thigh. Also some numbness/tingling in same area and feels warm to touch. This has been going on for months since surgery.
Is this most likely related to back issues or possible DVT? I'm on blood thinner now because of having coronary stents.
Please advise, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Probably a pinched nerve.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Deep vein thrombosis needs to be excluded by a Doppler ultrasound, but, since you are on blood thinners DVT is very unlikely in your case.
Furthermore, symptoms you describe are mostly encountered in conditions that may cause pinched nerve (s) such as spondylosis of the vertebral column, in some cases even after surgery, etc.
In my opinion, get a Doppler ultrasound done. and discuss with your Doctor about starting pain treatment, physical therapy, in order to improve.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.
