Question : I have been advised not to take citrucel & coumadin together. Does cirucel interfere with the absorption pif other drugs? e.g. pravastatin?

First of all I must advice that you must be aware that citrucel is a stool softener and laxative . Chemically it methylcellulose. It interferes with the absorption of many drugs like oral anti coagulants and statins , digitalils, aspirin, nitrofurantoin . Thus it is recommended not to take these drugs together.
