Brief Answer:
Definitive data lacking due to inadequate studies.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

No data is available regarding the presence of Lisinopril in human milk or the effects of Lisinopril on the breast fed infant or on milk production. Hence it is not possible to comment definitively how much amount of lisinopril is secreted into breast milk. However, Lisinopril has been shown to be present in rat milk. Because of the potential for severe adverse reactions in the breastfed infant it is not recommended for use in lactating women to be treated with Lisinopril.

Let me know if I could help further.

Brief Answer:
List provided

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. There are various antihypertensives that are safe to be taken while you breast feed your baby:
enalapril
captopril
atenolol
metoprolol
labetalol
nifedipine

The first two are very similar to lisinopril. Please discuss with your treating physician before deciding to change the medicine.
