Question : I had a steroid injection in my hand about a month ago. I am scheduled for knee replacement surgery shortly. My doctor says the injection will not effect the surgery in my knee.. Is this correct?
Brief Answer:
Will not cause any problem.
Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
Steroid injection given in hand one month ago or earlier will not cause any interference in knee replacement. The effect of steroid injection is for XXXXXXX 3 weeks only.
Rest reassured and go for knee replacement. If any problem does occur in surgery - it is not because of one steroid injection.
Thanks for the question.
