Will Discontinuation Of Novelon Lead To Delayed And Prolonged Menstruation?
Question: Hello doc.I was prescribed novelon tablet for a simple left ovarian cyst of 3.5cm which had caused 12 days late and 20-22 day prolonged period last month .doc suggested to take tablets for 21 days initially and then take a hormone level blood test on day 2 of withdrawal bleeding.depending upon that doc would suggest if tablets need to be continued for next cycles or discontinued.so now I have completed 21 day course of novelon and I got withdrawal bleeding on 6th day after completion of course.today I am on day 3 of withdrawal bleeding, but I won't be able to take blood test as I am out of station.is it OK to discontinue the tablets ,I.e I will not take them for next cycles.
