Brief Answer:
Take appropriate symtpomatic treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for asking on HCM.

I have read your query and understand the problem of loose motions.

You might be having acute gastroenteritis (which is mostly viral or sometimes bacterial) or irritable bowel because of which you are having loose motions.

But let me know if you have any other symptoms apart from loose motions.

Do you have fever or chills?
Any abdominal cramps or stomach pain?
Nausea or vomiting?

However, you may start below mentioned treatment which is completely safe in pregnancy and will not cause any effect on the fetus.

1) Take probiotics (lactic acid bacillus-double strength tablets-brand name Sporolac-DS) three to four times daily with Econorm sachets three times daily (to take 1 XXXXXXX with full glass of water) to restore the normal bacterial flora which are available over the counter at nearby pharmacy.

2) Take lots of fluids (water) and fruit juices throughout the day which will be helpful to avoid fluid-electrolytes imbalance.

You can also take sachets of WHO Oral Rehydration Salts mixed with water to maintain electrolyte balance.

3) No oily or spicy foods.Take pantoprazole 40 mg if you have gas trouble or digestion problem.

4) Do not use immodium (loperamide) which may not be safe during pregnancy.I will not recommend it.

5) Antibiotics (Norfloxacin-Tinidazole combination) can be reserved if there is no improvement within 2 or 3 days and they are also safe during pregnancy.

Since antibiotics are prescription based drugs,so you may need to see GP or some local doctor who may prescribe it after complete clinical examination and some relevant tests like routine blood works and stool examination.

We would expect that you will start to improve within 2 to 3 days or may be earlier with this treatment and you will feel better.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions.
