Question : I use pills for 2 years. I started a new pack on October 4th. I forgot to take a pill on 13th of October (10th day of the cycle) and had sex that evening. I took the missed pill on early morning on 14th of Oftober (9 hours late from when I was supposed to take it). 1) Should I use the emergency contraception pill? 2) What should I do next? Is extra protection needed?
Brief Answer:
No extra precautions required
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns.
Skipping pills for a day is fine and you don't need any extra precautions or emergency pills.
Since you have taken the pill next day, protection will continue.
There is no reason to worry about pregnancy. Continue pills.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
Regards

Thank you so much for your answer!
One more quick follow-up question: do I need to use emergency contraception if I start my new pill pack 1 day late and have unprotected sex after 5 days of starting the pack? (1st week of taking the pills)? Do I need additional protection?
