Question : Taking metronidazole vaginal gel and it has caused vaginal bleeding, I'm pretty sure it's not my period is this a serious or life threatening side effect

Of course it is not serious. Vaginal wall is sensitive and it may have been irritated by gel or manipulation. SO I suggest to stop using it and see what happens. It should imrove in short time. WIsh you good health. Regards
