Hi,

A pinched nerves (multiple nerve roots) at the neck will cause numbness of whole arm and hand. Other possibilities that include intracranial pathology - infarcts / demyelination and peripheral vascular problem may also make your arm / hand numb. In case the numbness is persistent, please see your doctor who will evaluate for aforementioned problems.
