Question : Hello,

I'm preparing for a trip to the beach and was looking to XXXXXXX before going so that way I wouldn't burn as much. I currently have the birth control implant nexplanon in my left arm. Would being in a tanning booth (or long periods of time in the sunshine for that matter) affect my implant?

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

DO not worry as the nexplanon is put under your skin and tanning is just skin deep and that too only the most superficial part of skin. So being in a booth or in sunshine is no way going to affect your implant.
