Question : Hello I have genetal warts and doctor adivced me to be using calamine lotion I don't know if is right

Genital warts is an infection caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Calamine is not a treatment option for HPV.

Various treatment options are either surgical (with electrocautery fulguration or radiofrequency cautery) or medical (podophyllin, imiquimod, chemical cauterization with trichloroacetic acid).

Hi,

I suggested you a variety of treatment options. Surgical options are not for self use. Your doctor would remove the warts with either Laser or Electrofulguration.

You would require a doctor's prescription for medical treatment with either Podophyllin or Imiquimod. They can be used at home.
