Would Some Malignancy Causing Jaundice For Over Three Years Show Up In Some Test Report?

Posted on Tue, 20 Apr 2021
Question: I've had jaundice in the corners and bottom of my eyes for almost 3 years that I've noticed. The hospital ran tests, abdominal US, and a CT scan with contrast and and they all came back normal except for a dilated gallbladder on the CT that the GI doctor later said was not actually dilated. My readings were 2.7,3.3 and 3.4. All other functions were normal. this was last year and now I am having symptoms of pancreatic cancer I feel like. I also have health anxiety. I'm 23 years old. My question is, if it were malignancy causing jaundice almost 3 years ago, would it have shown up and would I be in bad shape?

Brief Answer:
Hello dear. It is certainly not pancreatic cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details.

A pancreatic cancer is very well picked up on ultrasound and causes progressively increasing jaundice with abdomen pain and loss of weight. Without treatment, it is fatal within 6 months. There is no need to worry. It is not pancreatic cancer.

I would like to see detailed results of liver function test and ultrasound before I can comment upon jaundice.

I was more worried about the pancreas but the bowel movement issues and pain doesn't really start until my anxiety sets in. I guess it's my anxiety causing a lot of things? I have it very severely with my health

Thanks doctor I appreciate it. I'll just try to relax. Back pain is probably from bad posture and being tense from anxiety
