Question : I have been taking XXXXXXX brand Clonazepam 0.5 mg for about 3 years and now my pharmacy has changed the manufacturer from XXXXXXX to Sandoz. I am a little hesitant to take the Sandoz brand because I have a fear that the Sandoz Clonazepam will have a different affect on me. Do you think I will experience a different reaction when I start taking the Sandoz brand. Is there any differences between the two brands? please advise.

Brief Answer:
There may be minor differences

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The inactive ingredients of generic meds can sometimes be slightly different, there may also be slight differences in manufacturing techniques but many persons do not experience symptoms with these differences.

It is quite possible that despite the minor differences, you would not have any change with effectiveness or any increase in side effects. Majority of people do not have any issues.

It is also unfortunately possible that you may have some issues though as mentioned, most persons do not.

You should consider using the medication and monitoring any issues.

I hope this helps.
