About A Week Ago I Noticed Little Red Dots On

Question: about a week ago I noticed little red dots on my right shin, but they looked like they were from shaving my legs, not raised or itchy, and now both of my lower legs where my Capri pants stop to right above my ankles are covered in a red, bumpy very itchy rash that goes all the way around both of my calves. it seems to be getting worse by the day and I've been using hydrocortisone cream. What is causing it and what can I do to help? My doctor is not able to see me until August 29th..

Meanwhile, continue hydrocortisone cream. For itching you can take tablet loratidine 10 mg once a day(available OTC). Alternately apply moisturizing cream. You may require oral corticosteroids to reduce the inflammation after consultation. Along with that avoid allergens, harsh cosmetic products.

Hello. yesterday I applied hydrocortisone cream as I have been for the past week and washed my legs with antibacterial soap, applied Eucerine lotion, aloe vera gel, and took the recommended 10mg of loratidine. Today the rash is still extremely itchy, red, and inflamed. A friend suggested "golfers vasculitis" - in 2010 I was infected with Epstein Barr Virus and have had occasional flare ups since. In mid July I had an upper respiratory infection as well. I am curious as to your thoughts on that? I have attached pictures taken moments ago of the rash. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply.

Usually golfers vasculitis may cause due to strenuous exercise in hot and humid environment and don't have infective etiology.

Do you have any such history or family history of vasulitis?
Do you have history of allergy to any food or medications?

Still I would recommend you to consult with Dermatologist and rule out skin disease first. Meanwhile, continue all measures as suggested earlier.
