Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' services.
I have read your query and here is my advice.
* As per my clinical experience, usually bloating will not cause palpitation
and fainting feeling but it is associated with anxiety which can reveal the high
pulse rate with the heartbeat and in some cases certain cardiac conduction
defects also present in a similar manner.
My guidelines at present
- Consume a proton pump inhibitor as omeprazole (20 mg) or pantoprazole
(40 mg) with sips of water on an empty stomach morning and evening.
- Avoid spices, junk foods, dairy items if consuming.
- Keep the stomach empty by 25 % of satiety value.
- Consume the small frequent amount of food at intervals.
- Maintain hydration with plenty of liquids.
- Avoid stress, anxiety.
- Mange sound regular sleep of 7 hours.
- Avoid smoking or alcohol if consuming.
- Remain ambulatory and walk in the fresh air.
- Deep breathing exercises and YOGA.
* Watch for the improvement in symptoms for next 24 hours, if more than
80 % improvement, continue the same; if feel that's not satisfactory
recovery immediately consult your family doc for evaluation of primary
parameters as blood pressure, pulse rate, EKG for further guidelines.
I would like to address further as per your need at any time.
Wish you the best recovery and health.
Regards
Dr. Bhagyesh
